YouTube Spotlight: Daniel Ibbertson AKA DJ Slope of Slope’s Game Room

SGR-channelWelcome to our first feature where we cast the spotlight onto YouTubers who we believe stand out. We’re going to kick off this feature with an amazing YouTuber who puts out some of the best content we’ve ever seen on YouTube in the gaming area, Daniel Ibbertson AKA DJ Slope. Unlike other YouTube gamers Slope reaches deep into the history of video games and pulls out the very best facts, and somehow manages to cram them into a concise video, interesting, informative, and fun.

Having just passed 100 videos on his channel, totaling around 21 hours of incredible footage, and just shy of 10,000 subscribers, Dan shows that even from the beginning of a YouTube channel, the footage uploaded can be great from the get go. The proof is in the pudding, simply check out his first video and compare it to his latest and you will see that the quality just gets better and better.

Dan dedicates all of his time to creating his content, even at his 9 to 5 job he spends his breaks researching, writing scripts, and editing his videos. The level of dedication he shows is mind blowing and really helps make his content a cut above the rest, leaving his subscribers looking forward to his next upload.

Much like Musicology being the study of history in music, Slope is essentially doing the same thing but through video games, so we here at Insert Controller would like to honour him with the title game-ologist.

If you’re a gamer, which we assume you are as you’re on our website, we urge you to check out his YouTube channel and subscribe to him, we promise you will not be disappointed. And if you’re feeling especially generous then perhaps you might want to check out his Patreon page and help him in his quest to finding the most intriguing facts in gaming.
